Research research research! Tomorrow I get to drive a Lamborghini. It's one of those "exotic cars" events and I'm sure that my max speed is apt to be 15 mph, since it's being held in the parking lot of a mall. Still. More things to put in my books. -*certified Adrenaline junkie*-

More upcoming research! I'll be spending a week in Oxford later this year. I've been once before for about 2/3 of day and went to the Ashmolean and experienced Yo Sushi (conveyor belt sushi) for the 1st time that trip. This time there will be crap tons more museum wandering and hopefully rowing on the river. I thought about going punting on the river but that requires balance. I decided I'd likely end up drenched in the river, so rowing is more predictable. Doing the river thing in Oxford has been on my bucket list for about 30 years. I'm a Dr. Who nut, and watched the ill-fated never finished "Shada" and have wanted to go punting there ever since.

The new cover of "Burning Now" has been started. It'll likely take a few weeks until it's ready. "Magic So Blue" has made it up to 14K. It has a projected length of 25K. I had a friend ask me recently why I even bother to estimate what length I think a story will be. It's all about how complex and how many layers I think a plot has. Sometimes I end up being pretty close on the estimates... Sometimes I'm way off, usually on the end where it's longer than expected. "Military Dependent" was hypothetically going to be 25K, and it went 10K more, to total out around 35K.

Oh, and there's a plot bunny waiting in the wings trying to mug me... The characters from the "Djinn" books may get a sequel which could end up being called "Mage."
